2010 Annual Meeting Tales From The Front

The Professional Development Committee was thrilled to have many quality Tales from the Front submissions to consider for presentation at the annual meeting in Anaheim. Topics were engaging and timely with submissions from institutions across our geographic region. Proposals varied in topic, institution type and size. The PDC would like to thank all those who thoughtfully spent the time to submit ideas and proposals.

After a lively and challenging discussion, the PDC has chosen the following four topics for presentation at the annual meeting.

• Aligning Business Operations (Oregon State)
• Leadership Development (CSU Fullerton)
• Community Public/Private Partnerships (College of Southern Nevada)
• Variable Rate Bonds (Colorado College)

The above institutions will receive complimentary registrations for their winning submissions, and although other submissions will not be presented as “Tales from the Front” in Anaheim, they may appear in this newsletter as articles, or may even appear in other workshops or learning sessions.

We are encouraged by participation in Tales from the Front this year and hope even more WACUBO members will submit their stories of lessons learned next year.

We would like to thank the following institutions who submitted presentation ideas: University of Washington, Oregon State, Rogue Community College, Grays Harbor College, California State University Sacramento, California State University Monterey Bay, Oregon University System, and Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseno de Monterrey.
